Read Guerilla Marketing, Which Teaches You the Real Way to Market and Profit

20 April 2010

There are many books out there that can show you ways of marketing your offerings. However, none of the books out there can provide you the basic fundamental methods of marketing like the book Guerrilla Marketing. Written by Jay Conrad Levison and published since 1983, this book alone has revolutionized the way small businesses market. The book was updated in 2007 to include more methods of marketing related to today’s trends.

This book is not meant for large corporations that have the big budgets, this book is for small business owners who have a small budget and have the ambition to get their products and services out there to the public. This book is for small business owners looking to minimize their marketing spending and instead use tactics and strategies to maximize prospect’s consent and gain profits. Who wouldn’t want to profit off of low cost, highly effective marketing methods?

In the book there are 200 methods of marketing your offerings, which include flyers, brochures, email marketing, canvassing, and TV commercials. From reading each method that’s mentioned in the book you’ll find several “Oh wow I would had never thought of that” tips and strategies to using each method effectively. It’s so good you’ll want to reread the book over again, and it’ll open your eyes further to the world of marketing in a new way.

I read the book two years ago. This was when I thought I knew it all when it came to marketing. After reading the book, I found out that I could never know enough when it comes to marketing.  It’s a forever learning process, and it’s also an art you have to work consistently on to perfect.

If you’re looking to learn more of how to market your products and services sufficiently without spending tons of money, you have to read this book. It’s worth every cent of its asking price. To purchase this book, Click Here.

Increase Your Sales By Providing Value To Your Prospects

13 April 2010

To everyone that reads my Blog Posts,

Just yesterday I had written a article to Examiner detailing some important tips to make anyone more effective when selling products to consumers. I’m looking to do some freelance writing for Examiner, and one of the requirements was writing a 200-300 article regarding your topics you plan to cover for the company. Being that I provide content regarding marketing, sales and business tips and strategies I wrote about those areas, and wanted to to share the information that I wrote with everyone here.

For those who aren’t familiar with Examiner, they are a publication that was created in 2008 and quickly grew to be one of the biggest publications on the Internet in a short period of time. The reason being is because they allow freelance writers to get paid for providing valuable content for the rest of their readers. So for instance, if you know a lot about sports, you can write your opinions and any news information you find for them. It has to be your own content, however. So if you’re caught giving them content published by someone else, expect to get in some major trouble. If you are interested in becoming a writer for their publication, click on this link: Write For Examiner.

Below is my article I wrote for Examiner. Check it out.

Increase Your Sales By Providing Value To Your Prospects

When most sales people sale products to prospects, no matter if they try to be nice or be aggressive, the main goal is to get the sale. This is why most sales people struggle. They have been taught by their organizations on techniques to get prospects to buy their products. Some organizations teach sales people how to tell prospects about how great their products are and why they should buy them.

Unfortunately, prospects don’t care about a company and its products and services. They care about themselves. Since most sales people don’t know that, this gives people looking to be an expert in their field and a solution to prospect’s problems an opportunity to come in and reap the rewards. Since prospects care about themselves, they care about finding ways to relieve them of their pain, save them time, cure them of health problems, or ways to make more money. That said, as an expert you must answer the call for help.

If you’re an expert with computer engineering, you should be providing valuable information to your target market that cares about this field of expertise. That way, you’ll be able to gain their trust. Most importantly, you’ll be the go to person for prospects to run to for help. If they are impressed with an article you give them, and it helps them to solve a specific problem, they’ll thank you for helping them, and it’ll be much easier for you to suggest to them to buy your product if they really need it. Being that you’re the expert, you have power, and they’ll listen to you. If you approach every prospect this way, the sales will come, and you’ll quickly be the leader of your sales team teaching them to do the same.

Super Charge Your Article Marketing To Drive Profits for Your Business: Two Tips

6 April 2010

If you like to bring in new prospects and you’re starting off in a small business, you need to be a valuable asset that people can go to in order for help. The best way starting off is writing articles. Everyone is writing articles. You have access to billions of articles of different topics on the Internet alone. Just imagine the many more articles you can find from newspapers and magazines. Information is everywhere.

The problem is to any one person is that information seems like it’s scattered everywhere. Professionals research for hours daily to find valuable information for free over the Internet and in libraries. Unfortunately most people don’t know how to research, which is why people are left frustrated when they spend several hours looking for something they can’t find.

Where does this leave you? The answer is a chance to be the resource for your prospects. Now I’m not going to tell you how to find your prospects. That’s an article or a novel in itself to write. But I can tell you two tips you should follow to super charge your article marketing and make yourself attractive to your prospects.

Tip #1: Make sure to provide content appealing to your target market: If you’re marketing products to computer professionals, make sure your content contains tips on how to, for example, “Speed Up the Performance of Your Computer by 300%.” Anything computer or software related should be written about. The same should go to whatever industry you’re a part of. First write about anything you know about the industry you’re a part of. Afterwards, magazines and proper Google keyword research will help you find content you can write about.

Tip #2: Use Article Submitting Software: Let me tell you this, if you want to be well known, you have to be everywhere on the Internet. That means your articles should be posted on several websites. That’s very hard for you to do by yourself, which is why I recommend you purchase and use article-submitting software. The software I recommend you purchase is Automatic Article Submitter.  There’s a one-time fee of the software and it submits your articles to over 300 different online article websites. Even better, you can vary the same article you create into three plus identical articles within minutes. This can triple your chances of articles being submitted and increases your online exposure. Click here to view and purchase the software.

So there you have it. Start dropping some content for your prospects to read and you’ll be getting qualified prospects coming to your to purchase from you. It’s a long process, however. You need to be writing and submitting articles often for it to work. Be patient and consistent and your articles will paid off.

Who’s Bringing You The Most Profit for Your MLM Business?

23 March 2010

When you operate a MLM home based business or any small business in general, most people work to satisfy everyone. A person’s time is important, but sadly they give most of it away to people that aren’t bringing them In any business. That’s why people in business now aren’t in corporate America, where some unlucky people spend time in their 9 to 5s talking to countless customers, doing unproductive work, and going to time-consuming meetings.

Like I’ve said in some of my last blog posts, you can be racking in tremendous profit but still be miserable. One of the reasons is because you don’t have the time to enjoy yourself. You make more time doing a lot of work than taking time to collect yourself. You’re in business to live a better life correct? Unfortunately you solve your money problems but now your time problems need major fixing.

Trust me, in business it happens often.  MLM business owners have a lot they need to do daily. In this business since most people you talk to aren’t going to join your company nor purchase your products, you have tons of people you talk to daily correct? What if you have a large downline? And you get phone calls of questions from the same people all the time? Though profits is the primary thing of importance network marketers and business owners should look at, business people think every phone call they make, every email they read, and every prospect they talk to is most important. That’s far from the truth.

If you’re talking to people often who aren’t bringing you in any business, it’s time to shorten the time you waste on them. Unless you’re out to make friends, keep your interactions with friends to a minimum while you’re working on business building.  When people start liking you they don’t mind spending time talking to you. If these are people in your downline that keep calling you to talk, you have to draw the line somewhere to tell them when it’s best for them to call.

Be sure to track the people in your downline that’s racking the most profits for your downline. Those are the people you need to keep in the radar, for they are helping you to make the most money possible. On the people who are struggling in your downline, you still should help them when needed, but don’t spend a lot of time trying to help them, especially if they aren’t listening to your suggestions. You can only do so much to help someone. Your business won’t grow if you keep trying to hold people’s hands for extended periods of time. Plus your time is wasted when you can be making time for yourself after a hard day’s work.

Build Your MLM Business And Your Profits With These Three Tips

3 March 2010

When you have a few success driven individuals that you’ve personally sponsored onto your team, don’t ever leave them out of your sight. Do everything you can to help the people you sponsor to succeed. There’s nothing like sponsoring ten people and none of them perform. I don’t know about you, but if I had to compromise time or money in a situation like that, it would be money.

Think about it. Let me give you an example. Why would you spend 8-12 hours a day working hard to sponsor ten people within a month’s period, make $1,000 as a result form all ten sponsors, then spend 10 hours daily concentrating on telling your downline what to do for 3 months only to find out they weren’t producing anything, and they quit? Time is more valuable than money. A lot of network marketers chase their prospects and do hard selling to get them a part of their team. It’s not worth it, especially since this isn’t a sales job.

Remember, network marketing is a business, so treat it like a business, not a sales job. If you treat it like a sales job, you’re reputation will go down the drain, for your downline will be mad at you for suckering them into joining your team. You want to be a mentor for your downline to come to for help. You also want to teach them the most effective methods of marketing and communication. As your downline builds, the level of responsibility you have for your team should increase.

Here are three tips you should implement in order to build a downline that’s profitable.

Track the progress of your downline- Depending on the MLM home based business you’re a part of, your back office should have database management system you can use to track the results of your downline. Help your downline set goals on how many people they should talk to, invite, sell products to, sponsor, and even personal goals. Help them stay motivated in reaching their goals.

Encourage and inspire them- Life is tough. There’s many negative distractions that keep people from focusing on work. Always be that positive role model. Give them words of encouragement. If you know their goals, remind them of those goals and why they’re in MLM on your team. This way, they’ll stay consistent in producing and you’ll steadily see your business grow.

Always be there to help when you’re needed- Most network marketers, especially those that are making tremendous amounts of money, tend to ignore or forget about the newcomers, and in turn leave them out in the cold for them to build their business on their own. Don’t fall into that category. Always lend a helping hand to your downline. It’s true that some people you’ll help more than others, especially those who are more serious and are superstars. But even those who are struggling and maybe off and on, help them out whenever needed.

The third tip is especially important. I can tell you that in my experience I’ve had upline members who were no help. I was left trying to build my business on my own. But the main problem is, when you’re told to invite people on three-way calls with your mentor, and your mentor doesn’t answer the phone when they were supposed to, that leaves a bad impression and creates a missed opportunity.

With my team The Self Made Millionaires, I have mentors there that will help any downline member out with whatever they need in regards of building their MLM home based business. They said no matter if a person has been with us for 5 weeks, 10 months, or 3 years, they’re there to help no matter what. It just depends on how a downline member paces himself or herself.

Focus On Where You Are Headed

25 February 2010

When you are a business owner, you know that you have to talk to several people throughout the day and find out which ones are worth your time and who will buy. No matter how good you are doing in getting profits, customers, and people to join your team, there are obstacles that you face. One of those situations you may face, but many don’t realize it, includes constantly being overworked.

You can be working countless hours on building your MLM home based business, but find yourself hitting your head on the wall. The reason why is because this is a business where you are working hard on getting the right people to purchase your products and also join your team, while also going through the fear and objections you face in order to get the results you want. If you think the people who are making millions right now in network marketing have had it easy and never had any challenges, you’re sadly mistaking.

You can be making more money than what you can do with from network marketing, but still feel miserable on the inside. Why is that? Sometimes the people you try to conduct business with are the circumstance. Most of people in this world don’t take action, are insecure, and don’t have huge goals. So when you talk to people who would rather settle with mediocrity than excellence, it can frustrate you cause of the time you’re trying to spend telling people of a financial opportunity you know that’s excellent but they don’t care about. People will frustrate you; upset you, waste your time, hurt your feelings, and won’t come through for you when you need them to. Tough world isn’t it.

Network marketing is a people business. Even if you build a giant organization, don’t expect to be exempt from people. You’ll still be working hard to build your business depending on your goals, and you’ll always build it the same way, through talking to people and training your downline to duplicate results. And when your organization gets bigger, new challenges will arise that you’ll need to be ready for.

The purpose of this post is to influence you to not focus on people all the time. In network marketing you’ll come across thousands of people, and most of them won’t join your primary opportunity. When you focus on the many “No’s” you receive from people, it’ll cause your stomach to turn, and possibly throw in the towel. Instead, you should focus on where you’re headed in the future. You are a part of MLM because you want to do things that you can enjoy that you couldn’t do when working at a job constantly. The ultimate reward you get for working hard is freedom. Wherever you see yourself in the future, capture that in your mind, and you’ll feel peaceful in the process. It’ll overcome the many “No’s” that you get, cause you know you’ll be in a better place in your life than now.

CRM Strategies For Your MLM Business

16 February 2010

There’s going to come times where you’ll have so much information about a prospect or client that you need to find a way to keep track of them. You can use a address book, but it can only hold so much information about a person’s lifestyle. A notepad could work, but sometimes you have a hard time managing the notes you’ve written about someone.

If you’re not familiar with Customer Relationship Management software you definitely should.  It’s software that companies use to customer information regarding anything from the last time they called, what the call was about, the last order they made, what hobbies they have, etc. Most companies use it to track customer info. But if you want to think outside the box, you should also use it to track industry information and articles you find.

Though you want to know about your MLM company, it’s compensation plan, its products and the support, you also want to be able to know what’s going on in the MLM industry.  If you can, research once every two weeks on what’s going on in the MLM industry. You maybe able to find important articles regarding other’s prospect’s MLM companies they are a part that they aren’t aware about. Or you can find a good article on how MLM is a great industry to be a part of to make money for funding towards businesses or schooling. You can show those items to prospects you meet locally or online. Think of the value you can bring.

CRM software can be used as a research hub to gather your information you have. Besides researching industry information, you can also research important people you like to connect to sell your products to or bring into your company in the future. The data you should gather of people include the person’s name, address, phone number, e-mail, website information (if they have one), work experience (including information based on the companies and industries they’ve worked in), hobbies, political and religious affiliations, birthdays, anniversaries, donations, favorite sports teams, and more.

The more information you have on prospects, the more comfortable you’ll be in talking to them, and the more they’ll be comfortable in talking to you and hearing more of what you have to offer. To find out information on prospects, just ask. Or if you’re online prospecting, read their profile information. If there are particular things about them you see of interest, ask that in a message to them. You want to keep track at all times of people you meet and connect to. You’ll remember who they are, what they do, and how much closer they are in being sold on your primary opportunity.
